1. What is EBB?

EBB is an online settlement platform for the tea sector in Kenya developed, owned and supported by Stanbic Bank (K) Limited. It brings together, Producers, Brokers, Buyers and Warehouses who are members of East Africa Tea Trade Association. Through the platform, brokers upload catalogues and invoice buyers after the auction. The buyers select the invoices to pay for and generate a payment instruction (E-Slip) and quote the E-Slip number when paying to the Tea sales Collection account at Stanbic Bank. Upon successful payment a tea release document is sent to all players as proof of payment.

2. How do I access EBB platform?

EBB is accessible using this link anywhere anytime. The bank facilitates the creation of users as instructed by East Africa Tea Trade Association.

4. As a buyer how do I pay for my tea?

• Log into EBB, select the generate payment menu.

• Select lots to pay for

• Generate payment instruction of E-Slip.

• Print the E-Slip and make payment through available channels to Tea Sales Collection account at Stanbic Bank. Account Details are provided in the E-Slip.

5. Do I need to send payment file or instruction to the bank?

No. With the new improved payment process the E-Slip number contains all the details of the lots selected for payment.

6. What options are available for payment?

• RTGS

• Telegraphic Transfer (TT)

• Cash and Cheque deposits at any of Stanbic Bank branch countrywide

On all payment channels ensure you quote the E-Slip number.

7. Is there a fee charged to my organization for using EBB?

No, the service is free of charge
